New Dacia Duster in Brechin, Angus in Scotland

Dacia's Duster is an energetic and reliable crossover with plenty of charm. It's a family-friendly and spacious model that's won repeated awards, and is continuing to prove a popular choice with a broad variety of UK motorists.

Exterior design

As a crossover the Duster has typical SUV style, from the chunky roof rails down to the contrasting black front and rear bumpers. Bright chrome surrounds the front grille and the double optic headlights, matched by the metallic flash of the 16-inch alloy wheels. It looks confident and has a strong road presence, demonstrating the higher ground clearance needed to navigate rougher terrains.

Interior Design

On entering the cabin, you'll find full durable black cloth upholstery, set off by the satin chrome centre console and air vent surrounds. At higher trim levels these flashes of chrome are switched for smart, high-gloss Piano Black, creating an even more luxurious atmosphere. The Duster seats five in relaxed comfort, with height-adjustable seatbelts and headrests. Depending on the version of the Duster you choose, the folding rear seats can create as much as 1,636 litres of boot space.

From entry level the Duster arrives with power steering and a gear shift indicator. The most popular version with UK motorists is the Laureate trim level, which brings you Bluetooth® connectivity, a seven-function on-board computer, cruise control with a speed limiter, and AUX and USB inputs for mobile devices.

Engines and fuel economy

Your engine choices with the crossover include 1.5-litre diesel and 1.6-litre petrol versions, at 107bhp or 109bhp and 105bhp respectively. Both fuel types give you the option of front-wheel or all-wheel drive, and partner with either a five-speed or six-speed gearbox. In motion it's a capable and reliable model, loading and towing simply with the help of as much as 240Nm of torque. ECO mode is included in the Duster's driver assistance systems, helping the model to achieve peak fuel economy of 56.5mpg combined. It also cuts CO2 emissions down to just 130g/km.

All trim levels for the Duster are fitted with excellent safety and security features, giving you complete confidence both on and off the road. ISOFIX child seat attachments and child-proof rear door locks are just two inclusions that families will appreciate, and everyone benefits from front and side airbags, ABS, and Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control.
