New MG HS
QUALITY SPEAKS FOR ITSELF
At the front, the latest iteration of MG's stellar field grille perfectly frames the largest MG logo yet. At the rear, twin tailpipes and an aluminium lower bumper add a classy and sporty finish.
The large 18" aluminium alloy wheels, too, provide a point of contract and a bold statement on the road. The bright LED headlights and rear lights of both feature sequential indicators on Exclusive versions. As well as providing sleek and stylish accents at each corner of the car, the headlights offer enhanced visibility for cleaner and safer turning.
Inside all New MG HS, drivers and passengers are presented with a spacious interior, with a variety of soft-touch and pleasingly tactile materials, contrasting colours and metallic accents. Top spec Exclusive versions have a choice of black leather or a red and black leather interior scheme. Ambient lighting also runs throughout the interior on Exclusive versions, creating a warm and inviting social space.
Technology and connectivity are at the heart of All New MG HS, with a large infotainment screen situation front-and-centre of the dashboard. Featuring a bold 10.1" colour touchscreen, the system is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ for ultimate comfort, connectivity and seamless integration with your phone, apps and music.
All New MG HS is the second MG model to benefit from the brand's high-tech driver assistance suite called MG Pilot, after it debuted on the MG ZS EV in July 2019. MG Pilot comes as standard across all versions from the Explore through to Excite and Exclusive and helps to make the driving experience relaxing and safe.
ACTIVE EMERGENCY BRAKING
At speeds below 12 mph, the car will automatically apply its brakes to avoid a collision with a vehicle, bicycle or pedestrian. At speeds above 12 mph, AEB will reduce the likelihood or mitigate the severity of an accident.
LANE KEEP ASSIST
Lane Keep Assist uses a camera to detect lane markings ahead and monitors the vehicle's position in its lane. When the function detects the vehicle is about to unintentionally move out of its lane, it warns the driver by means of a visual, audible and steering wheel vibration. The car will also control the steering to keep within its lane.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) monitors the road ahead. As long as the road ahead is clear, ACC maintains the speed set by the driver. If the system spots a slower vehicle within its detection range, it gently reduces speed by releasing the accelerator or actively engaging the brake control system. If the vehicle ahead speeds up or changes lanes, ACC automatically accelerates back to the driver's desired speed.
TRAFFIC JAM ASSIST
When Adaptive Cruise Control is turned on, Traffic Jam Assist continuously analyses the speed of the surrounding vehicles and compares it with its own driving speed. If the system detects dense traffic or a traffic jam at speeds below 35 mph, the driver can activate TJA. The car will automatically follow the vehicle in front, controlling its acceleration, braking and steering within the same lane.
BLIND SPOT DETECTION
This system keeps a lookout to help you change lanes safely. A radar serves the BSD's electronic eye, registering objects in hard-to see areas. Whenever there is a vehicle in the driver's blind spot, a visual signal will show in the door mirror.
INTELLIGENT HIGH BEAM ASSIST
When the headlight high beam is set to the AUTO position, the system automatically switches to low beam when it detects a vehicle ahead. This enables drivers to maximise the use of high beam, making night-time driving safer, without the risk of dazzling on-coming traffic.
INTELLIGENT SPEED LIMIT ASSIST
The car will actively detect speed limit signs and alert the driver of the current speed limit by way of a symbol on the driver's instrument cluster. The symbol acts as a reminder to the driver, reducing the risk of exceeding the speed limit.
