An Important Message from Kevin Mackie, Managing Director of Mackie Motors

Following the Government’s announcement, directing everyone to stay at home, we are temporarily closing our showrooms and workshops as of Tuesday 24th March, for at least three weeks. We hope to be able to re-open our showroom on Monday 13th April and our Workshop on Thursday 16th April, however we will continue to monitor the Government’s guidelines on a daily basis to ensure it is safe to do so.

Our priority is to ensure that our staff are kept safe and healthy, but as a team we want to continue to offer you the highest possible level of customer care during these difficult times. Therefore, a small number of our team are working today to contact our customers. If you are a sales customer who has a vehicle on order (that is due for delivery in the coming weeks), or if you are a service customer with a service/MOT booking, we will try our best to contact you today. If we have been unable to do so, we will postpone your appointment by three weeks.

In these uncertain and challenging times, we would like to thank all our customers for their continued support and understanding. We ask for your patience whilst we work hard to ensure our customers are contacted promptly.

We understand that this a troubling time for everyone. We want to ensure that our customers are provided with as much information as possible, and that any questions you have are answered promptly. Our dedicated teams are still available to help and will be working from home whilst we are temporarily closed.

Latest Announcements

The UK Government announced that you do not need to do anything to extend your vehicle’s MOT expiry date if it’s due on or after 30 March 2020. However, you must keep your vehicle safe to drive. Your vehicle will be automatically given a 6-month MOT exemption. This will extend your current MOT expiry date by 6 months. Renault, Dacia, Nissan and MG aftersales departments work to take special measures to deliver the best service. Extending Service Plans and Warranty where customers are unable to have their vehicle serviced and repaired during the garage closures due to COVID-19.
