A golfer at this year’s RASBI golf day could land an impressive drive – behind the wheel of a new car.
Golfing enthusiasts and members of the RSABI are flocking to chip in to a great cause on an acclaimed course – and putting themselves in line to drive away with a brand-new MG3.
The RSABI is setting the scene for another golf day fundraiser at Edzell Golf Club on Friday 14th June. With more than 25 teams having already signed up for the event which will see the local branch again play its part fund raising for the charity.
RSABI is a unique Scottish charity providing emotional, practical and financial support and assistance to those who have dedicated their lives to working on the land and now experience hardship. This may be a result of age, injury, illness or misfortune and leaves many rural workers living on low income and facing difficult times.
A hole-in-one on the 17th could see one lucky player pick up the keys to a new car offered as a prize by Mackie Motors based in Angus.
An auction in the clubhouse after the event will be followed by a dinner at the club’s restaurant.
Ewan Pate, chairman of RSABI said: " I would like to thank Mackie Motors for its generous support of our charity golf day at Edzell. Having such a fantastic prize on offer certainly makes a hole-in-one look a very rewarding prospect. I am sure everyone will be trying their best to hit that winning shot! Support from companies like Mackie Motors really helps us to support people in Scottish agriculture and it is much appreciated."
George Ross, Sales Manager at Mackie Motors Arbroath said: “We’re delighted to continue our long-standing support for RSABI’s annual Golf Tournament. It’s a great charity and provides much needed support to farmers during difficult times”.
